Well, I do think that the "newer style" does fit the Warhammer games at least.
And I don't know, I think that if CA can give us not only a blog post, but also a couple of decent length videos explaining or showing why they're simplifying the graphics and such of, let's say an Empire 2, then people would be ok with it, because it was explained to them rather than just put into place with barely a word.
I think that if they made a couple of interviews or better yet, in game explanation videos that were even just 10 or 15 minutes long, which explain and show off the game and why these changes work, people would probably be ok with it all.
Just to answer that question, since I forgot to actually mention it earlier.
There's games like Minecraft, Among Us, and even Fortnite that are pretty popular and don't have to rely on having great graphics. But those are just 3 games I can think of off the top of my head at the moment.
None of those games have or will reduce graphics quality in the future though. They will only improve. There are plenty of games with poor graphics that are fantastic though. I won't argue that.
There you have it. Clone troops and watercolor graphics.
Well, I was more so using those games as examples of games that can be successful and all without having super great graphics.
And I don't think that if we ever see a Fortnite or Among Us 2 that they'll try to push their graphics to crazy levels compared to the last ones, that's all.
Well, I've still experienced slow down and such despite doing those things, and I have a fairly good computer setup.
And I don't mean to sound like a doom and gloom guy, but I just realized that CA could improve the general performance of future TW games because I realized just how much computers have to process when running a TW game.
I realized that the computer has to factor in every soldier that's in the battle, but also things like the various animation sets that that unit uses as well as ALL the variations of other things that go into TW battles, and that even on low settings, that can be a LOT to process.
So I just think that it'd be nice if CA did these sorts of things by default, that way the TW experience could be a tad more accessible to more people who don't all have super great computers.
