Do grand temples of other gods still give bonuses?

For example I am play Bay and I took the town of Gubla which has a Grand Temple of Asherah but I worship the god Thoth.

The building says it give a bonus of 250 favor, legitimacy 2, upkeep -15% happiness 5, and production 15% of all resources.....

but when I am looking for these bonuses like the Legitimacy or the favor It doesn't look like I am getting it.


So I am assuming the answer is no and it would be best to demolish this temple and build something else (unless I want to get that god eventually)

How comes there is no option to convert to Temple of Thoth?

is the temple shown for U as red or not as red?

It should give you all bonuses except the favour.

Like when you look at it in the building slots at the bottom? No it's not red at all.

And okay... hmmm Cause My legitimacy says +2 from battles and +2 from characters but no +2 from buildings so I assumed it was not working.

The grand temples are special buildings. You can only build a grand temple of the specific god in that cult center / settlement only... i.e. gubla... is for the god Ashera. Askelon is for Yamm.

Ive always had the bonuses.... i build both the grand temple and a level 2 temple and seemed to be getting the bonuses for both. Are you able to try it out with a dud file and destroy it to check?

I would be interested to know if there are any that don't work, they have always worked for me.

I could try that yes, It was already built by another civ that I conquered. I will let you know next time I play.
