"it is very tiresome to play more than 1-2 hours on one turn in late campaign" aah this says all ... your not a TW player, you should keep yourself on arcade fantasy games.
Bye bye.
And the way I meant that comment you quote is I prefer play on campaign map and challenging battles. Not wasting my time playing 100 same easy battles again and again. Because that is what autoresolve should do - save time.
Your what we call a gatekeeper & the toxic part if the community that nobody likes because your instantly hostile to anyone you don't like the opinions of.
I guess he gets a hard one, every time some one replies to him......while I'd argue he is keen in 3-4 TW games, he only played like 3-4 TW games :) and there is that......even if he 'mastered' them or whatever.....
@topic: yeah, game gets boring really fast-----I play with Tausret and have fought off the numerous desert guys (oh; for the wicked guy: veteran difficulty with basic settings and veteran BAI) and once I had secured the western border with proper shrines (Horus/anubis/isis) I gathered my 13 (? or something) armies and currently go for the crown. It's currently a very long turn.....
auto-resolve is worse than in any other TW, and even a single enemy Khopesh general gets mystical 86+ kills against a level 20+ general with rank 9 units.
There ain't much to do currently......Tausrets' chariots do most of the heavy lifting in an open or town battle. It's basically attack, play battle manually to avoid stupid losses, rinse and repeat......
Upper Egypt archers (or semi Ta-Seti) with the top-tier trait are next to insane....(with the cowardly-trait ^^)
For some reason, Troy kinda had a different feel to the battles, which got kinda lost.
I dunno, I kinda got bored already after or in between 1 campaign.....
My first campaign in Troy was *uhm* Odysseus - and I sooooo loved the stalk+snipe javelin approach - that was before the mythic stuff got patched in. (and the troy special battle with the troyan horse is some else entirely ^^). I enjoyed Penthesilea for the horde-stuff and to the lesser Rhesus.
Though, they should patch in veteran/legendary achievements again......
(even, if a dead-child, that just got brutalized by SATAN could in theory achieve the victory.....given it is filled with enough blood)
The first 20-25ish turns are what matters......WHII/III is a bit more demanding - depending your faction.
sum-up:
- defeat invaders
- ignore first crown-battle
- place armies
- declare civil war
- *yawn*
edit: it's honestly a dumbed down TW game, that offers no real challenge.....
Hard for me to say, but it's boring as shait.....
That being said.....I'll prolly switch over to my little ones campaign in WHIII.
GOBLIN-power! da biggest - da' uggliest.....way more fun :)
Have you ever done anything with your life except TW? Why do you think playing on Legendary and winning some tourneys ten years ago are impressive? Nobody is impressed my guy, this is very sad to watch.
I would go now with Hittites but I really miss more variety in Unit roaster... and also campaign map is bit small... So I guess I will just wait for Thrones of Decay :) which up my most favourite factions Stunties and Men things..
2. there should be an option in the last tab of campaign customise where you can set to real-time.
Beastmen-bestigor-chariot goes *vroooooom*
easy to fix though......if they desire to do so.....
Meanwhile, Tuskgor-chariot goes *vrooooom* :P
(and then, it got a bigger brother.....the Razorgor-thingie!...with the most tiniest articulation in Warhammer-History! that brutalizes thru a squad of hammerers - the AP alone kills any entity right away + AI + 100+ charge) I really love it)
edit: I use 1.9/2.1/2.3 for their collision radius......vanilla is sum like 3.7+
I had the same issue, that TK chariot-generals didn't connect his/her/whatever attack.....I think the sh*t still exists, because no one is using chariot-TK lords!
I increased the weapon-length, but to no avail....reduced the entity-radios = win!
The chariot-TK-guy was literally poking the air....
wait a second; ok.....I rather play Khalida again! bye
2. - Thanks, finally :) - for some reason I couldn't see it when I was looking for it.
