no dlcs

so it seems like we wont be getting dlcs, not even a blood pack. pharaoh tanked and CA might have abandoned the project. it was a scam. condolences to anyone who bought the Dynasty edition. I like the game and I really felt like with Dlc it might have been epic but this is what I get for being optimistic and ignoring the red flags and my gut feeling.

Yea you figure at this point they would have released the first dlc I'm just going to say it if they don't already have thises DLC's made there just not coming out & if they do it's going to be the most lazy bare minimum effort possible they know there not going to make money on this game there's no point in putting actual effort & money into it.

Apart from the contractual aspects that I've talked about in other threads, it would be a retreat from fans who believed in CA Sophia not to release DLC for Pharaoh.

Well considering the poor sales and the PR debacle if it were me in charge i would give you the DLC for free to build up good relations that were destroyed bit like PDX did with Imp Rome.

If you messed up the least you can do is make amends to the people who actually supported your product.

We shall see.

No, if you read the EULA, you are paying for accessing to the game, you don't owning the game. At anytime they can remove the game or not release dlc if they want.

per the comment that they "should have released DLC by now" I'm glad they haven't and most companies don't release dlc 2 months after a games release unless its skins. Thats not how game development works and its only been 2 months.

They're not a EU company. Having a branch in Sofia doing the dev work doesn't change that.

Sega as the publisher are actually ultimately responsible for the release. And, they're certainly not an EU company. (for reference, 'SEGA Europe' is based in middlesex UK)
But, failing that. Even if you was to sue CA for some mythical wrong doing. It's a UK company. Which, is also not in the EU.
The Sofia studio is a branch of CA, but head office, development direction, management team all based in the UK. It's the UK CA that is in charge here and ultimately responsible for passing the software to Sega for release.

But, even then. As pointed out above. It's all covered in the EULA, you don't own the software, you buy a license to access it. CA could drop it tomorrow with no legal come back. (although, i don't think it will)

Yep this right here they could drop this right now with little to no legal action and for there to be any legal issues a customer would have to actually try to sue them which isn't going to happen at most people could get refunds through steam if they dropped the game without releasing the DLCs because of steams policy's.
They most likely already have the DLC finished because we already know in the files there are files of a dlc already in it so CAs plan is to most likely do as littler effort possible and spend as little money as possible to release the dlcs they already have made so they can make there losses there already going to have with this game as small as possible it's just the smart thing to do there already going to loose money why not try to make that amount there loosing even smaller.

I expect a blood DLC announcement in the next week or so. I wouldn't count on the other DLC for a few months though. I would also say that given the reception, they are in a bit of a lose lose situation. If it were me though, I would release some killer DLC for Pharaoh and also throw in some FLC. I would also continue to improve on Pharaoh where possible. Pharaoh is a great game and in time I think more people will come around. Pharaoh unfortunately released in a time where people were already hostile towards CA so Pharaoh is the game that gets the brunt of the abuse from the player base.
