Total War: PHARAOH

Someone asked me why I don't post on CA forum....
Let me begin by saying I have nothing but respect for the developers of Total War. They are fantastic at their jobs and sadly are tasked with working on terrible projects instead of having their talents put to good use. They ultimately have no say on what they work on even if they know the project (looking at you, Hyenas) will be a failure because they have to do their jobs and put food on the table for their family.
With that being said...

Do you really think that a company that bans people over voicing their concerns on a STEAM FORUM will allow those concerns to be voiced on their website???
Do you think that if CA listened to their player base and on their website then they would keep releasing crap that no one wants?
Do you think they listened to anyone on CA website about Hyenas?
There is no point, even if some of the (amazing) developers did read it, they could never convince the higher-ups that they shouldn't release crap like Hyenas until they saw the money flying out of the window.

I have been very vocal, maybe not on here or CA forum. But on Reddit, YouTube, and many other places which are open and accessible to the public, yet no one from a multi-million dollar company chose to listen to any of the feedback and instead decided to throw away their money on a 100 million dollar project that no one ever asked for or wanted, which was doomed to failure?
How many posts about Medieval 3?
How many posts about Napoleon II?
How many posts about Shogun III?
Instead they release a historical title (Pharaoh) with no depth, terrible gameplay, a time period that is boring and has been explored in many mods, and which is an obvious step back from their titles which are 10+ years older. The battles and combat just look terrible, the map is a fraction of what their older games had, and the factions are incomplete.
On CA forums and everywhere else, did they listen to anything?
I would have been repeating the same things people have been complaining about for years even if I had said something.

Year after year after year, I've been deluded by the hope that the next title is going to be the one- the one where they listened, where they gave the players what they wanted, made an actual finished and enjoyable, complete, project.

And year after year, the quality went down while they charged more and more for DLC that should've been in the game already and a reskin of the previous year's game.
And the games just kept getting worse
And Worse
Until I realized that I was just chasing the dragon
CA will never listen but maybe the community will.
Yes, people and companies do make mistakes but this particular one has decided to dig its hole deeper and deeper while ignoring its community and alienating its remaining player base.

And no, I never heard of Volound before today, so this is purely my opinion from someone that has played TW since Shogun: Total War.

I am also a player who has played from the first shogun. I bought the game with my own money as an adult. I've seen these games come and go and was around and experienced how they all were at the time of their release.

I do understand people being disappointed, all power to people to express their concerns and they should be allowed to.

Since this is the Pharaoh forum, i purchased this game and played the early access period and i was satisfied with this game as a stable product in a time period that i personally have wanted and enjoy. I disagree with this game being without depth or having terrible game play. This game has more depth than the earlier games, i know because i have played them. Shogun 2 of note as an example, is especially shallow in campaign. This is the first time in quite a while that i've been captivated in a total war game, this is a good feeling, i do understand that this will not be to everyone's liking and its OK to disagree.

I do however have criticisms for this game as well, every title within the franchise has its weaknesses. I am happy of course to voice these too. Do i want to see another Medieval, Napoleon, Shogun or other, absolutely. But i also want to see less explored eras too.

I am not in agreement in the way the community has back-lashed and i'm also not in agreement with the way CA has bungled things on their side either. I didn't buy the last Warhammer 3 DLC due to its content to price ratio, i said my piece, removed it from my wishlist and moved on. Haven't thought about it since, no further drama required.

You already posted this thread in Warhammer III, no need to pest other forums with the same tantrum.
Doubble posting isn't that smart to start with.
