Save files don't rewrite/overwrite anymore?

The ability for the save files to overwrite/rewrite anymore seems to be gone gone! Has there been any announcement about that change and does anyone else find it tedious to constantly use a new file name or repeatedly delete the numerous save files you accumulate? I've never utilized the autosave feature for Total War and even the quicksave will create a new save file (another quicksave) instead overwriting the old quicksave? I mean after 23 years of Total War games having the rewrite/overwrite function for the save files, then why change it now when we're all kind of second nature with it now?

If you haven't already, there is a tickbox below the filename field (in the save menu) that says incremental auto-saves. If you hover over it, it also says it effects quicksaves. Turn it off and you are good to go.

LoL thank you because I have looked everywhere for a tick box of the sorts and my mind was blown I couldn't find one! I save so much lol

Yes to avoid cheatings reloadings as some legend(ary) tw youtubers did and grab themselves on their channel that they won campaigns clean.

No problem. It was driving me up the wall too. Took an embarrassingly long time to notice that tick box lmao.

Man, I'm sorry but I left this game and the forum months ago. I don't even remember what the game interface looked like anymore lol...... You should start your own thread because it could very well be a semi-common interface error that some of the goober gobblers who got everyone banned off the forums could have experience with possibly. Wish I could've been more help but I'm months behind on current knowledge pertaining to this game. Ask and I promise one of the gobblers will pop up and get your goober........... That's how they roll in this forum.....
