Why do I keep having to wait for blood?
Total War is not Total War without blood. What is the damned holdup? Every time, they make us wait for the blood DLC. I can't even play the game. Just add it to the stupid games permanently!

it's Rated PG without blood and even has cute caricatures of historical figures.
Exactly a SEGA thing to do....Cuz' Sonic Total War reaches more audience.

Spoken like a true modern day TW player.

Hugh, I have owned and played extensively every single game this company has ever made, ever since Shogun: Total War. That list of course does not include that silly Alien game. That one doesn't count. But yes, your words are true. I am a modern Total War player. Total War without blood is unacceptable, and I feel that it should not only be included in the game, but expanded upon! We need dismemberment, we need the old "Death throes" from Shogun 2 to be returned to the game. Those made the battles legendary, movie quality, terrific. :)

Well if enough of their customers or used to be customers stop plays for the blood dlc which is the lamest cash grab in a game ever I mean it's like rating a game M but it doesn't have blood and it's 100% a shooter, and then charging 10 bucks for a little weak blood effect....Point is if you keep giving them money then they will keep pulling this crap.

I myself wont touch their products anymore they are going back and breaking them just to get more money like the shogun 2 dlc which used to work now I cant play them.

watch them not even release it lol with a player count this low you think a blood DLC will help? its pissing into a howling hurricane it wont make a difference and even if they release it the player count will be so low people will have moved on

I only play single player anyway. I like to create big epic skirmish battles and just watch them battle it out like a movie battle. I will be happy as long as it looks cool :)
And of course, blood.

They are most likely trying to figure out how to get their customers to literally pay in blood for blood DLC. It will have to be monthly donations of 1 pint to retain access to blood DLC.

Many of their games have sucked, this is true. Some have REALLY sucked. This one seems alright though. It's a bit nearsighted and definitely overpriced, but the gameplay itself is pretty good and it's very stable especially for a new release. The soldiers look awesome too, at least in my opinion. Maybe try it once it goes on sale (eventually). You might like it.

They might be vampires. They are corporate, nothing surprises me anymore.

Yes it will be cheaper for them, rather then buying it from an alternate source. Customers have to pay to ship the blood to them. So really it is free blood for them..

blood has always been like a month after launch

I hope its like the blood from Troy, but I understand they aren't going for the "over the top" hero look in this. I bet its going to look awesome, i'm really enjoying the mud battles

I have played a few skirmish battles while I wait, and I must say I like the look of it.

As fun as the theories for this in this thread have been, the actual reason blood is released as a DLC and not as part of the main product is a business one. It keeps the age rating low, meaning it can be sold to a wider audience in a wider variety of ways. Having only the blood DLC age-locked means the age rating of the main game can remain low.

Ok, I can accept that. However, I would like to still demand that the blood DLC be released immediately the day after release lol :)

Are they going to charge your adult credit card $0.01 for a blood DLC then? Ya know because they just had to verify that an adult with a credit card was involved.

And yes companies do low transactions like that. If you want to verify your bank account with a pay processor like Paypal or Venmo they do micro-transactions for a few cents into your account to verify you're an adult and you are who you claim to be.

So are they going to charge your adult credit card $0.01 for the blood DLC then?????????????

You were absolutely correct in that observation, but not in the underlying reasons.

You're right in that blood DLC should be optional on day one, especially given the digital nature of games.
