I applied the same boost to AI as myself and added battle realism. Turn 109. I don't like the AI cheating, just as a principle. There's a mod in the workshop that remove AI cheating in battles which I use, other mods I use are a historical quotes, proton fontfix and some other minor cosmetic.
I wasn't actually going for the throne, I was going to build and savour the moment, make sieges on cities like Pi-Ramasses, Mennefer etc. to look at the views, but a faction I invaded went and swore allegiance to Seti II which forced my hand and I went for it.
When I'm done with this save at some point I'm going to try Hecleas AI Overhaul play-through
Now you should increase the dificulty of the campaign and turn on the ten of features you disabled 🧐
Amenmesse, with Akhaten legacy.
I went and sniped the Akhaten city by sailing down the Nile (downstream is north-bound) after taking my starting area and rushing up gold mines. I joined the very first Egyptian civil war and rushed up obelisks to improve my legitimacy just enough to win and become Pharaoh. But I had no real power yet, so had to keep getting legitimacy up over time to get even the lowest Pharaoh powers for me.
Another time, I did it vastly differently:
I went with Irsu, paid my way into being in the Egyptian court, and fought up the Nile like it was Apocalypse Now and had to fight all of Egypt to get the legitimacy needed to be a Canaanite Pharaoh. That was not the easiest path, but it was just on Hard/Normal (Campaign: Hard... Battle: Normal.... diff. settings). Literally went through fighting almost the entirety of Egypt, like it was a Bronze Age World War. Lot of fun battles, but not very efficient, and had to trade resources to the Hittites to fuel the war machine.
I think the achieves are just set a tad high for requirements this time. You can easily win a minor victory without being Pharaoh or King, really. And becoming either one requires manually joining a civil war, so it's very easy to conquer and map-paint and forget to challenge the crown.
I use;

So the battle boots are neutralized, which means only economical boosta work. Idk, the difficulty settings are a bit useless for me :D, if I play on legendary I just mod it back down to normal. I want the AI to outsmart and overrun me, and such things.
x) It's my cup of coffee. When you become Pharaoh you can shine with your much better settings ;)
