I completely forgot about CA making a registered trademark for a new Medieval title. I recall there was some discussion on whether it meant a Medieval 3 or a Remastered version of the original Medieval or Medieval 2 but nothing has yet been confirmed. You're right about Three Kingdoms being a success both commercially and critically, and I think Thrones sales weren't too bad either.
I am currently playing Troy's historical mode and I've been enjoying it so far. Sadly though, it seems that 'historical' modes in both Three Kingdoms and Troy are something of an afterthought in comparison to the 'fantasy/mythical' modes. Hopefully if CA do decide to release all future historically focused titles with both 'records/historical' and 'fantasy/mythical' modes they'll give as much attention to detail as they've done with Thrones and Pharaoh, and not just have it be the same as 'mythical' mode but without the magic.
Warhammer 1, 2, and 3 all have gunpowder.
Lots of gunpowder, actually.
or a remake of the times from Alexander the Great.
Not the same type of gunpowder experience at all lol. The units don't even look right when shooting. It's very arcade like.
You are correct in the fact that those have gunpowder but if they made an Empire 2 that looked like the Warhammer gunpowder units it would be horrible.
