WH3 made 2 billion in sales, not counting DLCs. No, Hyenas didn't effect TW dev, they had enough money to just trash it and move on.
yes, it is actually. I don't think you understand how popular WH3 is.
2 Billion in sales? Where did that number come from? Did some research and couldn't find it.
I hardly think they even made 1 Billion, those are huge numbers for a game to achieve, specially for a Total war game, who despite being a famous franchise they're not that big.
The video suggests a leaker revealed that it did indeed result in job losses from the totalwar team and unreleated departments. I do wonder how many executives lost thier jobs over it.
The websites still up for it oddly.

they've sold 40 million copies.
The most recent major game released was Total War: Warhammer III on February 17, 2022. As of October 2022, the series has sold over 40.4 million copies. I've seen 36 million copies as well, suffice to say, it's a billion dollar title for them.
The story goes like this: They attempted to cash in on Fortnite's success. They were going to use an existing engine. After some development, it was apparent the engine wasn't sufficient for the game. They created a new one, but it took too long and the Fortnite craze was already over. I believe this information came from an article that interviewed a prior employee.
WH3 itself has an estimated 1-2M owners, so at best it'd be 120M
