The Hittites have certain bonuses to rain, thunderstorms, and fog which could be useful. But, it's the rng element of it that makes it usually just a nuissance.
There's rain?
I don't think I've ever seen rain or thunderstorms in my 100 turn campaign.
Yep depends where you are on the map and how likely it is. Rain is pretty common in the area where Bay starts for sure.
I think the biggest issue for people who don't find the game "fun" is the time period. The Bronze Age isn't "sexy". There was no cavalry besides chariots and it's mostly infantry battles. It also doesn't help that most infantry are similar to each other due to lack of technological advances of the time. I find the time period fascinating, but I can understand why people may not. The problem isn't the game, at least when it comes to unit representation. The problem is people not understanding Bronze Age warfare and/or who were spoiled with Warcraft's or Rome/M2's unit variances.
Waiting is a feature though. And you're clearly missing out on the fact that generals DID wait out unfavorable weather to take advantage of their military capabilities in dry weather.
What a weird take. Is the "wait" feature not a feature to you despite the fact that it exists as a feature?
Indeed....
