Hebrew Tribes faction
Would they ever release a faction pact based on the biblical nation of Israel. Still relative to the time period and have deep political contact with Egypt, Tyre, Sidon, and the surrounding nations like Moabites, ammonites, areamans ect.

The only situation I see a full playable Israeli faction showing up would be during a Neo-Assyrian Expansion into the Levant and eventually the Assyrian Invasion of Egypt Campaign pack. But that date ~700 BC is closer to Rome 2's start date than it is to Pharaoh's.

And it would be a damn hard start. Sandwiched between two superpowers that are determined to use your backyard to kill each other in.

And it would introduce a new deity YHWY into the game right? Probably won't happen but...

I think in actual Pharaoh you have two options: play as cananite and worship EL, after all they are called elohim, and this name influenced in hebrew religion. Or if you are all for worship only a god, play as ramses or any of 4 egyptian generals and follow the legacy of Akhenaton, choosing this you'll be able to create a monotheistic religion and then absorb all concepts of other gods you want, making your only god Atum have stronger favors when you praise. You'll be able to rebuild the capitol city of Akhenaton wich is said hebrews worked on it.

Its just not the same but the 12 tribes exists regardless of what people say. The Torah and the Christian old testament do have historical facts and religious experiences. To have such a historical impact and have most if not all 99% texts survive much longer then any other ancient or classical work with the proper documentation excavated and stored in museums. Would be an insult to the study and research that has been already discovered and dating back to there time periods respected. YWHW is its own God regardless, really does injustice to say that He's a God that came from other gods XD.

Not going to happen. Too much going on in the real world and the no matter how this faction gets represented it will never please everyone with the different interpretations.

Aspects of the the region are present in the game though such as El.

Is it or is just a 19th century European revisionism?

Aren't the Habiru in the game already? Some people have suggested that the Hebrews began as Habiru based on their name being similar.

Habiru is Hebrew, the word just changed pronnounciation over time. However, we have no Joshua, with Yahweh worship, and the 12 tribes.

Yahweh and a playable Habiru faction dlc would be cool

A horde faction, that gains favour by demolishing temples and shrines, and has dillemas for loot and and distribution, between the 12 tribes.

That is what I think. You should be able to create a biblically inspired faction. Then I wheren't aware of the Habiru being in-game, but could be applied to it.

The Habiru are in game, they are the natives of the area Irsu starts in.

Yet Israel existed and was worth a mentioning in the merneptah stele from 1208 bce, slightly before the time the game is set (after merneptah's death).
Yes, they where mentioned, that's it. The Cananite language at the time would of been like English today, different accents etc. bit same language. The name Israel may thus be litteral, refering to a Cananite town where El was top dog. This migjt have been the origin point of the Hebrews etc. but they seemed to have emerged int the early iron age gradually. At the same time you have a north south split, into Phoenecians in north.

Israelites were named after Isreal, (Jacob) Israel had 12 sons, the youngest was Joseph. The oldest was Judah. By the time of Moses, 200 years had gone by. Rameses II was the Rameses that Moses had dealings with, and he was adopted by Rameses' sister (son of pharoah's daughter). 40 years later, they took the city of Jericho. The rest of what happened is in the book of judges. Saul became king around 200 years later. So there is no accurate way to portray the "Hebrews", unless they have an expansion, like Rome II. Just so ya'll know if there is a descrepency between the bible and secular history, the bible contiunally gets proved right the more "science" and "History" reveal. You can believe the lies told by the world, or you can believe the one that was there when it happened. It's up to you. But "as for me and my household..." Joshua
