My point is, a Stone Age Total War is absolutely possible, and would probably be pretty engaging. It would just piss off even more people than the Bronze Age Total Wars because the unit variety would be on the level of Shogun if not narrower.
But I personally would be very interested.
The rest of the map as seen in the base game.
Just because the 3 Kingdoms period doesn't interest you personally, doesn't mean its not an interesting period. That's straight up childish thinking right there.
Also, as I stated, the indo-europeans are from the Bronze Age, and they did not have werewolf myths yet.
There were no indo-europeans in the Stone Age, no aryan migrations, Europe was fully populated by brown people.
Aryans (white people) came from Central Asia, as huge conquering hordes, on chariots, around 2000 BCE, which is well into the Bronze Age (starts in 3300 BCE), and far from the Stone Age.
Stone Age TW would have no analogue to any European culture with werewolves and axeboats.
These things came MUCH later, which is what I am trying to tell you.
Of course Stone Age Indo-Europeans didn’t have werewolf myths — because they were werewolves, they are where the werewolf myths come from. The concept of a ‘werewolf’ comes directly from Indo-European culture, and refers to the ritual separation of young warriors from their native society and perceived transformation into savage beasts of the wild, half-human half-beastly warriors who prey on both beasts and humans while not being either of them fully. Where do you think the wolf hats on Velites come from, or why the Germans have a dozen wolf-themed names like Wolfgang.
those are the most terrible thing that CA ever did, in leaving realism and historical TW and going to phantasy childish games.
