Don't release this crap
Looks horrible. Don't even release it 😂
I might play it if it goes free on epic games though. (That wasnt enough to get me to finish a whole campaign of troy. Game sucks)

Kinda crazy that Feral Interactive is doing a better job with total war than you guys are.

Salty, it looks good to me. Hopefully you never get the games you want. If you did you would complain about them as well.

It's literally a re-skin of troy. Battles in troy are some of the worst in the series. Settlement management has been dumbed down since Rome 2, everything is just copy and paste of the same thing. Settlements in siege battles were all a copy and paste of each other in troy, unfortunately as far back as atilla. Siege settlement variety peaked in medieval 2. I've been replaying that game and the variety there as well as the battles are much better in that game. They've only dumbed the game down and made the battles feel arcadey so I can why you might like it.

Total war doesn't need to release anything I want anymore. I've been playing Bannerlord.

Respectfully, I think you're basing your views on incomplete data.

For example they've shown a variety of siege maps, including a siege battle in Mennefer (Memphis) where the map is the actual layout of the historic city, they've just added walls (Mennefer historically didn't have them.)

They've also been repeatedly showing new mechanics, units, factions, gameplay etc which are not from Troy, so the claim of a "Troy re-skin" doesn't actually seem to hold up to scrutiny.

If Pharaoh isn't for you it isn't for you, no harm in that. But there are people who are liking what's been shown and are looking forward to Pharaoh, and we have just as much right to play the game's we want to as you do. So they should absolutely release this game that they've been working hard on and clearly is not "crap."

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.

Sounds like an employee trying too hard to defend their flop of a game. No ones buying it for a reason. We've all seen the gameplay. It's trash.

Oh sorry, I mistook you for someone interested in a discussion. But as you're resorting to ad hominem retorts, I see I was mistaken.

You know, it is possible for people to like something you don't without it being a conspiracy.

Why are you guys even reacting to this obvious sick Troll?
Santiago Sep 1, 2023 @ 7:21am
Lmao you cash cows can keep buying everyrhing CA pushes, but anyone that's played older total wars knows exactly how the series has been dumbed down. Especially battles and settlement management. Keep forking out your cash without hesitation though 🤣

The grand majority of the old fans are done with the series.

It might surprise you to know that people have been saying this all the way back to the original expansion pack for the original Shogun over twenty years ago. Talk of "real fans", "dumbing down", "abandoning their 'true' playerbase"...it been around for every single game, every single expansion, and eventually for all the dlc criticism. The tone is exactly the same, the words being used are exactly the same, and the people criticizing act exactly the same.

Did you play the original Shogun Total War? It was immensely simple. An almost non-existent "settlement management" system aside from just building the available buildings, very simple units, very simple economics, no research, no unique faction mechanics aside from slight bonuses to a single unit or single building, and once you got a geisha to max level everything died to her.

In a way, the games have become increasingly more tedious and bogged down with mechanics that have pushed the series away from its military strategy roots. I think Empire Total War was heading in a more "historical" system and they bit off more than they could chew. Then gradually they moved further and further away from that into the modern era where games are made and broken by the exposure they get from streamers and content creators.

These games haven't gotten less successful, my friend. They've gotten more successful. And, even all the times people clamored for a boycott, those same people could be seen yet again complaining about the very thing they said they'd boycott. (And, I promise you'll see the same with the most recent criticism of the WH3 expansion.)

As it stand now, Pharaoh looks just alright. Most people interested in the time period or eagerly waiting for another historical title are at the very least a bit skeptical and waiting to see how it pans out. My biggest concern is that the period won't draw a huge crowd aside from history buffs, and the game will kind of fizzle out with very little support or content. BUT, it looks like a solid entry. We shall see.

Now, go peddle your doom and gloom. Why you people spend your valuable time complaining about things you claim you don't like in the forums of a company you also claim you don't like is baffling to say the least.
even legend of total war dont want to touch it...

He doesn't want to "touch it" because he makes money off of views. Warhammer 3 is his bread and butter. That's hardly an indictment on the quality of the game.

Yeah but CA hadn't made so many trash game at that point so I think you'll be surprised people really are tired and have actually found new games.
