They don't. The historical team has been working on something unknown since after 3K.

I kind of wish they'd add more RPG elements. Love their games but they've been using almost the exact same formula forever now it seems. Like, start out with a character, wander the map, go into 1st person map mode, explore around, find loot and gather troops/followers/mercs, whatever. Build a fort, etc., etc.. Would be fun I think.

I did. This time period and the one from Empire deserve more love and attention, way more than the overbloated medieval setting on most of the games out there.

But that’s pretty much how it is right now, minus the first person thing? Actually they experimented with constraining the view to the general back in the day, but it never caught on so they scrapped the idea.
Also the formula has been evolving enough to piss off hordes of customers every once in a while.

The vast majority of TW fans want Medieval 3 and have been complaining about it for the past few years. A TW game based on Bronze Age Egypt is very, very limited in factions and unit variety. CA would have been better off releasing Rome 3 and adding a truck load worth of overpriced DLC much like WH3.

it doesnt mean nothing there were people asking for a bronze age game there is a reason someone is doing the bronze age mod in rome 2.
Cry more nobody cares about med 3 except for the louder kids crying. I prefer Rome 3 or a bronze age game.

I however really don't want medieval 3 and empire 2 I never asked for them and hope they never get made

funny Rome And Medieval 2/ empire/napoleon are basicaly the same game why you dont complain about it?
lmaooo atleast we are going to enjoy egypt from the bronze age who cares about unit variety. You can cry how much you want we still get the game you aint gonna buy the game anyway why waste your time and people time here in this forum ?
