This game is actually really good. I have to admit that i was a bit skeptical about the time period, since I don't find it as interesting as roman/medieval/1600, but the attention to detail, combined with new features makes it stand out as something of a gem. What I'm most impressed by is the resource system. It makes conquering new regions important, not only to boost your coffers, but also to actually get more of vital resources. Then there is trade, i really like how you can trade what you have plenty of for resources that you lack. Makes the game feel much more realistic and dynamic!

Really hope they bring all of those new features for the next big historical game!

I played a alot of Shogun 2 and Warhammer 2 and 3 and enjoyed it really. But Pharao is straight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The resources are limiting your playthrough to a long stallmate and even your basic infantry is not affordable due to high prices and lack of food (=gold for units).

The worst part is the AI Cheating. It is even worse than Warhammer because they dont even try to hide how much the AI gets cheats. For example: I cant maintain a full stack of T1 units with a full region while the AI can support a mixed stack of T2 and T1 on 2 armies with less than a region. THey dont even hide this fact is ridiculous and disastrous.

Im happy not to pay 40 € for this cashcow scam.
