how to catch butterflies for the quest

i got the quest "The Girl Who Loves Butterflies" it tells he to help a student catch butterflies. but i cannot find any. i tried to look around my whole school, went into first person and tried to get a bug net and even searched students pockets since i though that could be it. I'm currently in autumn and i think it may be the wrong season for it. i got the quest in the last second of summer so maybe its a quest that can only be completed in summer. What am i doing wrong?

i figured this out. you need lemon trees (the potted tree in the decorations section) and butterflies will spawn around it

I tried using this and I just received one butterfly. Is this the only way or are there other ways you've found of them spawning more frequently?

Thanks for the hint about the lemon trees! I found it's easiest to build a few new lemon trees outside in summer. No butterflies around those which already existed prior to the task obviously. Any 3rd or 4th new one will spawn a butterfly instantly. You can delete the lemon trees again after you finished the task. The task will bring 100 science points.
