Don't waste your time with this garbage. There is so much baseball things that they've stripped from other previous editions of Out of the Park Baseball.
During the ootp23 span they removed the Nippon (Japanese) baseball league throughout its duration. What that means is you can longer have the Nippon league into your games if you had patched it. Now with 24 they have removed almost all of the other leagues and we have left is WBC and Korean league. This is a shell of what it was and it'll be sad if you guys wasted your money thinking its still the respectable company that you thought it once was.

They need permission to use certain things.

More accurately you need to pay a license fee. In their effort to maximize their profits, they stopped even doing that. Save some money, screw the customer, it's all good.

Sure, there is zero way of knowing the reason but with how much they're pushing perfect team and how much the perfect team players have been telling us that it's becoming less and less free to play and more pay to win. use contextual clue when you see features that were in the game "leave" but the money maker that is "perfect team" get more and more features.

None of that provides any clue to how an international organization is allowing its license to be used. It doesnt have to be money related. Or just an absurd amount demanded.

I'm not defending PT. Its greedy and predatory to the very core.

But in the end, OOTP devs arent just game devs. If you spend any time with them on Twitch or Discord, you find they are hardcore baseball fans and they play the game themselves constantly. And not just PT. They all run Franchises. They aren't tanking Franchise mode on purpose. They care about it. It's unfair to them to throw out accusations without any tangible proof whatsoever.

yeah dude keep giving money to a developer who is selling you a inferior product that'll never match what they've done in years past. They can sell you on these small little updates they do. It's about holding developers accountable for a product they've stripped content away from each year.

What an unfortunate decision coming off the WBC. My wife and I were ready with wallet in hand until we read the reviews. Stripping functionality is not ideal when trying to sell an annual iteration of the same BS you have been selling for 20+ years now.
