Game does not launch at all

The game simply does not launch at all. No error message, no pop up, nothing. It just shows the Age of Mythology logo on the desktop then closes. I've tried tons of different things like running in administrator, verifying files, etc, and nothing works.

im getting a popup after 10 seconds and fails to launch.
"Could not start renderer
There was an issue staring the renderer due to an error:
Missing Feature: Resource Binding Tier 2
Please check your graphics driver is up to date and your machine meets the minimum requirements."

Hello!

I had the same problem.
1. I installed the latest video card driver.
2. Right-click the following file:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Mythology Retold --> AoMRT_s.exe
Properties/Compatibility/Run the program as an administrator --> put a check mark here.
3. I checked the game files in Steam.
This worked.


I tried this first,
Properties/Compatibility/ -- Compatibility mode -- Run in the following compatibility mode: Windows 8
but that didn't help, because when I start, I immediately get the message that Windows 10 is recommended, so I unchecked it.

If you check it on youtube, all these advices in the same video. Actually more than 5 or 6... but most of the people can't even launch the game after tried these ideas. These are not even problem fixers. CC+ didn't help, administrator mode didn't help, other properties settings didn't help like windows8 or other compatibility settings. Even general steam launch with -dx11 or -dx12 didn't help. All drivers are updated, the requirements are not even a big deal, still a game just doesn't work. Also why is this game 30€?! It's a remake from other developers.

had same issue, my advice to try and check additional software, wemod, cheat Engine and same type of programs, game anti cheat closing game because of them, then try to check overlays and turn them off too

I found solution for me, all is good for now. I m on the Gamepass.
I was on windows 11 and 21H2 version. I couldn't go to 23H2 cause TMP was not activated on bios. I activated it, reinitialisation of my windows and pass to 23H2 version. Just check wich version you have, there will not be support for 21H2 in october......hope that help
