Keep getting Sync Error while trying to play online

When playing an online game with friends, after a few minutes I get a "Sync Error" the game prompts us to load a previous save, takes forever to load and then throws the same error again, we've been trying to play the game ever since it came out, and this error keeps happening every time

Same !! After downloading the save and relaunching it usually bugs less (Got only one time where a second desync happened) - Tried with 3 different peoples and with/without mods

Do you have win 10 or 11? I might be wrong but it only happens when we play with our friend who has win 11.

we are 4 guys and we play all time together and after join 2v2 we get that ı thing problem is it only one player using win11 and we take synchronization sycn save error

Same problem here with my friend. We're getting multiple sync errors during one game.

May be an easier fix -- I'm also having issues but noticed on the past AoE II forums theres an xbox live issue if you don't keep your Windows Time synced. Which I think is sometimes turned off either default or accidental. Just turned mine on and will see if matches go smoother... (set Service to Automatic, and then in settings set Time zone automatically and hit sync again, then reboot and try)

EDIT: Didn't work but other forums say there's an issue where they have resolved by moving down to Win 11 23h2 instead of current 24h2 (multiple 1-hour games no issues).

Hi, do you still have those errors?

Yes, we still have. Could it be a problem with the vsync-option? We have fewer sync errors when I turn vsync off.

-Hey guys, if you are still experiencing a desync please start a new thread. We had an update today that fixed a lot of the desyncs.
