Aftermath error [SOLVED]
Game's crashing on the launch splashscreen.
Aftermath Error 0xbad000, windows 11.

Tried launching on admin mode -> not working.
Tried to kill vanguard (known to have issues) -> not working.
Checked my drivers (already up to date).
Reinstalled drivers (just in case), rebooted -> not woking.

Second Edit:
Tried everything under the support "crash before video" section -> not working.

Third Edit:
Tried installing latest Windows updates manually -> not woking.
Tried Uninstalling then installing the game, checking files -> not woking.

Final Edit:
I downloaded Nsight Aftermath sdk directly from Nvidia, and replaced GFSDK_Aftermath_Lib.x64.dll from game files with the one from Nvidia.
Also added GFSDK_Aftermath_Lib.x64.lib to game folder.

RE-Final Edit:
After the update the issue reappeared, i re did the SDK manipulation and everything seems to rework just fine.

Same here. No one has written a solution, and the developers are not doing anything. I tried everything too, it remains only to reinstall Windows. If the developers don't do anything by Friday, then we'll have to check if it will help

I had this problem, and I got a response. I think the thing that helped was reinstalling my GPU drivers from scratch.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Age of Empires Support. I apologize for the trouble you have encountered with Age of Mythology: Retold crashing! To try and resolve this issue can you please try the steps below?

Check for Windows updates [support.microsoft.com] manually and install all of them

Update Gaming Services [support.microsoft.com]

Perform a clean installation your GPU drivers if you have recently updated them, try installing the previous version of drivers
AMD Cleanup Utility [www.amd.com]
How do I manually clean install the NVIDIA driver for my graphics card? [nvidia.custhelp.com]

Whitelist the whole game folder instead of just game .exe file and disable any deep/live scanning feature

Uninstall the game, restart your PC then re-install the game to your main drive

Disable One Drive and iCloud synchronization if they are enabled.

Make sure that the game uses your external GPU instead of your on-board graphic card

Disable any overclocking that your computer has

Disable Nvidia GeForce Experience In-Game Overlay if you have a Nvidia GPU. Additionally, if you have any in-game overlay in the background, please disable them (Discord, Rivatuner)

If the steps above don't work out, please try the additional steps we have listed in the articles below.
Crash on Launch before Intro Video; Game Does Not Launch [support.ageofempires.com]
Steam: Game does not launch when clicking 'Play' button; no error message [support.ageofempires.com]

I completely deleted the video card drivers and it started.... at 5 fps. AMD user by the way (It looks like the game is not for AMD graphics cards at all)

I have an AMD GPU and CPU and the game works fine aside from a specific issue I've already made a report of in a separate thread.

I rolled back the driver through the device manager and the game started working. However, the driver was rolled back very much and I'm not sure that other games will go fine now.

How much did you roll back your drivers ? like 6 mouths, 1year ?
