d3d12 error for intel graphics uhd 730, PC version on Steam
Does anyone know if a patch going to come to fix this D3D12 error?

Spent about 3 hours and did numerous suggestions per Utube videos.

Yes, graphic driver update and various other things tried.

I have two computers and both dont work. The other is and AMD 580 graphics card, above specs.

Ask CHATGPT for help if it do not work. I did, and the game worked in my PC.

I use intel Iris. Follow the Steps bellow if you use the same, or adapt to your GPU grafics.

1. Atualize your Web DirectX End-User Runtime. You can atualize it in the link

2. Atualize your Intel Driver. Instal Interl ARC + Graphics Iris Xe - Windows. You can do It in the link bellow:
https://www.intel.com.br/content/www/br/pt/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

3. Uninstall and Instal Again Age of Mythology Retold.

4. Open the ArcControl that should be installed in your PC if you did the step 2.

5. With the app open, in the sidebar click in "Games" > "Add Games Manually" and then you add Age of Mythology Retold.

6. You can find the game in "This Computer" > "Files and Programs (X86)" > "Steam" > "Steamapps" > "commom" > "Age of Mythology Retold" > "AoMRT_s".

Enjoy the game.

Open Windows 11/10 Settings.
Navigate to System > Display > Graphics.
Select Age of Mythology: Retold from the list.
Click on Options.
Choose “High Performance” in the options and save the changes.
Launch the game and the D3D12 error is fixed.

Hello, I also use the Intel graphics IRIS Xe. What has worked for me is not to tick the box for clean installation when reinstalling the Intel graphics drivers. Windows updates always reset the drivers to the old version even though the latest version was installed. This solved the D3D12 error for me.

I got the D3D12 error out of no where and i was not able to get to the start menu befor it crashed. Nothing worked that was mentioned here. Finaly this worked: https://forums.ageofempires.com/t/hesperides-tree-crashes-with-d3d12/261917 -- renaming the background map
