Game Not Launching When Pressing "Play" in Steam

As I've seen in multiple posts before, I'm having the same issue where the game does not launch or display anything at all when pressing "Play", simply crashing immediately. I'll post my specs here for reference first;

OS: Windows 11 x64
GPU: RTX 4070 Super
CPU: 13th Gen Core i5 13600k
RAM: 32GB DDR5
Game installed on: C drive, nvme SSD

Some troubleshooting steps I have already tried to root out those options:

-Restarting Steam/PC
-Reinstalling the game/Verifying game files
-Disabling all overlay apps (Shadowplay, Rivatuner, Steam Overlay, etc)
-Running the game as administrator/through the actual exe
-Trying different launch options
-Verifying redistributables
-Running the game in compatibility mode
-Windows/Drivers are up to date
-Game is allowed through firewall
(Edit) - I did not upgrade from standard to premium. I bought basic edition on launch day.

Nothing seems to work... If anyone has found any other solutions, let me know. Otherwise I hope this serves to help pinpoint an issue. My roommate has had no issues so it cannot be a problem with our network either.

If you upgraded from basic version to premium then try this:

C:\Users\*your username*\Games\Age of Mythology Retold
delete Age of Mythology Retold from there and then try to launch game again.

I did not, I just bought the standard version today - I did not need Early Access. I did forget to mention this in the post though, thanks for reminding me!

Try deleting that folder anyway, it might help. So that folder is not the game installation, that folder will be created again when you start the game.

You might find out more info if you look in log file. What is in your MythLog.txt file in C:\Users\<username>\Games\Age of Mythology Retold\temp\Logs directory?

To answer both previous suggestions about checking/removing "C:\Users\<username>\Games\Age of Mythology Retold" files, this doesn't even exist on my system yet. I don't think the game has launched far/long enough to create a directory in Users. Something is happening before then.

Then that would point to possibly missing required redistributables. Also, possible that AV might be interfering. Looking into what it installs, it uses vc redist 2022. Do you have that installed?

As mentioned in the post I have already verified I have the correct redist. No antivirus either, don't see any problems in Windows Defender.

Do you have Riva Tuner running perhelps? If you do, close it and then try again.

I have the same problem... I have a good setup and it doesn't work, while a friend just has a notebook and there it works perfectly... i think they have to release a patch for it. I tried like everything..

As mentioned in the post, no I do not. I don't even have RivaTuner or Afterburner installed lmao
