I'm sorry to be so critical of a support team that is probably getting hammered with requests right now, but please put 5 minutes into re-writing this article with useful information for people. There is a pinned post from a dev in the Steam Deck discussion thread on the Steam community that has the actual answer - switch to the SteamOS Beta and the game will run without issue.
