Greeks are the Terran of AoM, ranked 1v1 is currently unplayable.

As long as Greeks remain in current condition, the game is completely unplayable. Tuxedos are way too OP, ALL god powers are OP, favor generation is BEYOND OP, hoplites wreck, early heroes are way too tanky, centuars are OP (Minotaur and cyclops are also way better than other tier 1 myth units), the list goes on. I bought this game for the ranked 1v1 but at this moment the game is so out of balance that it's becoming literally too infuriating to play. It's like balance was not tested in play at all before release. I just know when I queue up, my opponent is 7/10 times a greek player that turtles, quick expands and I can't do anything about it as Norse. I would say nerf the living hell out of the Greeks because even if all other factions received buffs, I still do not think current meta is fun.

No, you're right. Developers aren't looking enough at win rates. If Hades and Zeus were at about 50 % prior to the patch, they didn't need a nerf.

An AI did that to me, Ive been going that route ever since. THAT needs to be nerfed, at least cooldown. you can almost most do it back to back

I think that people need to be careful of asking for nerfs when this game is just come out, Retold is a lot different than the OG game in many ways. I'd bet that most people just haven't given this game a lot of time to learn each Pantheon and how they work etc.

Greeks might be the "easiest" Pantheon to learn and play as but I'd bet that as soon as players get warmed up with the other Pantheons it's going to be more balanced. I've met some really good players , so it's not all that bad.

Just camp? Norse have the weakest defenses in the game, regardless thats not a fun play style. Greeks out camp anyone with vaults and they get catapults early... I am just going to assume u r another person that decided to chime in despite not playing any 1v1's..

You are aware Odin has the highest win rate in the game, yes? Or at least he did a day or so ago. Perhaps Poseidon has passed him up since.

Balance isn't perfect, but it is no where near as bad as you are making out. Norse are more than capable of defeating them. I mean, on the first day of the redbull wololo tourney yesterday, Odin was first banned in every single game I watched.

But, I agree with the above poster. Go play as the Greeks for a day. Anytime I struggle to beat a certain faction, I go play as them. You'll learn their weaknesses SO much faster than by just banging your head against the Greek wall over and over, looking for the cracks.

I bet it won't take even 5 games before someone will do something to you when you are playing as the Greeks that'll make you go, "OHHH. Right. Duh. That makes sense. I should be doing that to my Greek opponents."

For one you are actually both wrong because this game is actually very balanced for the amount of freedom it gives you to build civs almost anyway you want considering it literally just came out a week ago, and what is with this low elo elitism BeefyZealot? If you really want to get good at the game then read the tech trees and play a few games with infinite resources with a standard ai and pay attention to gather speed rates, unit stats and bonuses, special abilities, god power functionality, and costs for upgrades and army composition. With this game in particular there are a ton of hidden stats that are not listed that makes some units crazy strong even though they are rarely picked because myth units in this game get a 20% to health, attack, and heal rate for each age after you obtain them until the wonder age where most of their total stats are doubled. Looking at pros videos are also a good idea because they have done this as well and will find strategies that you have missed, but they still will have looked over alot of things because the game is new, is very hard to play well, and has a ton of hidden mechanics. Everyone still has a voice regardless of their elo. Whenever I played league I had friends who I played ranked with that were both master and iron and it never ceased to amaze me that it was always the bronze and irons that raged the most. For that reason I played most of my games with silvers, golds, other platinums, and masters until they reached challenger. All of the low elos I have seen that wanted to get better and the game and learn always got better as long as they were not know it alls and put in the time and effort. By the way it is completely fine if anyone wants to stay low elo. This is just a good game and there is way more to life than games.

ITs actaully horrid the state of ranked on retold, Constantly versing archers with mino or cyclone combo isn't fun.

You think they would of nerfed archers given they were not nearly as strong in EE or AOT and are only overpowered in retold due to the changes of how projectiles work

It's just unplayable fun, I can't even ♥♥♥♥ around in quick matches without running into people doing these exact build orders they found out from there favourite competitive player.

I don't get why you would even use a meta try hard build in a quick match, given that these matches are have no MMR at all.

not to mention how tuned godpowers are and greeks having some of the better ones, So as soon as they hit age 3 it's curse or bronze as a game winner.

It's really not fun.
