Here's how I beat Arena of The Gods on Extreme alone
Hi! Last Sunday I beat Arena on Extreme and decided to share how to those who are interested. Just for info, this was not my idea, as I got most of it from reading other topics here so credits for those people too.

I was struggling with most of the harder missions on page 2 as maybe most of us apart from the pros must have. For those last games on page 2 where you play 1v3 or 1v2v1v1 which can sometimes be a 1v4 I suggest you a "build" I learned by reading the Steam community topics as I meantioned already.

Whenever you can, choose Loki as your major god. The build you should go for is hersirs only (with a few portable rams to demolish buildings). Build, like, an army of hersirs. I had games where I had 85 hersirs. For Loki, the damage from hersirs has 50% of spawning a mythic unit (sometimes you spawn a Fafnir and that is nuts, really helps), so since second age as you attack or defend you will spawn plenty of crazy op myth units for free. As you advance, choose Forseti as the minor god cause it has a rune for move speed you will want to buy from your temple ("Hall of Thanes"). Third age go for Bragi and pick the "Thurisaz Rune". Fourth age choose Tyr cause Fimbulwinter is too op and destroy the enemy's economy (if you get to fifth age you will be able to spam those with the favor from your hersirs and that makes almost impossible to lose the game).

For the abilities: use the one that gives area damage for your legend and heroes (Gaia's Lashing Roots), the other for increased move speed for your legend and heroes (Poseindon's Rushing Tides), and the third one anything you wish (I usually chose fast gathering resources - Ptah's secret tools - for villages to boost the early game a little bit).

Every game, choose an enemy to send your legend to die at its base alone as soon as possible. Arena is still a little bugged so when your legend dies in their base, the enemy will guard its corpse forever, meaning that you now have one less enemy to worry about. I suggest you send them to the "Attacker". 1v3s are mostly composed of one "Defender", one "Attacker" and one "Standard" AI. With your legend at the Attacker's base they won't be bothering you with infinite waves rushing your base since age two. So you deal with the more passive AIs first and in the endgame you deal with this one and get your legend back :) haha

Believe me, in the end I was so used to this build I was attacking two AIs at the same time even being on extreme.

One last tip. The thing that worked for me is after reaching age two build right away a group of at least 5 hersirs to sustain eventual attacks at the early game, always healing them back at the fountain after every fight. This was always sufficient for me to guarantee I could progress my economy and crush them as soon as possible.

With these things set together you should be able to smash anything and anyone as I did on Extreme. I never lost one single game after that. It may be a little sad to sacrifice your legend and kind of abuse a bug to win on Extreme but as Arena is really still a crap until they fix it in a future update I think this balances everything in the end haha.

Hope you find this useful and can progress in the game and have some fun as I did :)

Hope you best! Panem from Brazil 😉

Hi. I can confirm this tactic works. Kastor can be abused by sending him to the enemy base and disable one opponent. Also finished whole arena thingy on extreme solo using this strat with Loki.

Yep, did the same thing, as an alternative you can go for Njord and get Jotuns spawning, then use excess favour with Hel to spam Jotuns at your temple as siege weapons

I have been doing the same except as Freyr (With a few Godi thrown in). I find his Hersirs get FAR stronger. So here is the stacks you'll get from each:

Loki:
+25% Counter Damage
Chance to spawn Myth Units in Combat
Hersirs +15% Speed (Forseti)
Flaming Weapons (Bragi)
Giant HP Increase (40%, Hel)

Freyr:
HP +10%
HP +15% (Freyja)
Flaming Weapons (Bragi) OR TCs and Hill Forts Heal and generate Food, Hero Speed +10%, Hero Damage +20% (Aegir)
Hersirs +20% damage (After inflicting 50 damage), +40% (after inflicting 150), +60% (after inflicting 300)

Overall Freyrs buffs I think do far better for you. I honestly walk through everything once I hit age 4 because all these damage buffs stack, and then having area damage means you just walk through every army you fight.
