-Age of Empires is stagnant? First time I heard that take!
But AOE2 and AOE3 are both back with a lot of new content and balance changes, along with a big graphical update and both are still supported with new content years later.
The gameplay is very solid still, nothing wrong with that.
Heck there are plenty of other RTS games that I'd wish would get this kind of treatment with a big graphical update, new civs, balance improvements, quality of life improvements, etc.
Rise of Nations, Empire Earth 1 and 2, Empires: Dawn of the modern world, Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, Armies of Exigo, Castle Strike, Spellforce 1, Star wars: Empire at war, Dawn of War 1... And I am probably still missing some.
Paraworld
It also stinks of Marvel design, which is done to death and ugly.
