I haven't done too much investigating into this game, but I'm a big fan of the original. What sort of changes were made besides enhanced graphics?

I checked the DEIdetected website and this game isn't on there. Not yet anyway. Has anyone played this or seen anything sus?

I just want to be sure the game isn't infected with The Message before I spend my money. One can never be too careful these days. Just the word "retold" gives me a bad feeling, it harkens to the whole modern audience problem.

The game has a closed beta this weekend which is free to record/stream, so you should find plenty of footage when searching on YT and Twitch.

Well, we now see Aphrodite from the front, and she's sadly no longer topless (but i'm sure a portrait mod could fix that easily enough), BUT she does seem to have the largest....tracks of land....yeah, lets go with the Python bit, she is the most well endowed out of all the goddesses as far as i can tell.

Gaia looks like Groot now, but she's also technically naked, Theia is wearing a lot more clothing now than she used to.

As for Hathor getting changed to Sobek, that doesn't bother me nearly as much, as it really doesn't make sense for a cow headed goddess to give you access to a magical crocodile, where as the literal crocodile god does make sense.

What matters is if the game is fun.

People don't buy AoM to look at portraits, they buy to play an RTS. What matters is the actual gameplay.

You can have a game with the worst MS paint art imaginable, but if it's fun people will buy it.

Yeah naw a game is a sum of its parts. Art is a part of it.

AoM would have bombed without the good arts of gods and monsters (that are still basically the most popular depiction of Zeus today).

Old RTS, nay, old games in general are BOTH sexy and gory as ♥♥♥♥.

I still remember when enemies explode in burst of gore, leaving skellies behind while the female soldiers are in boob plate or bikini armor and throwing sexual innuendos left and right.

It's sad that the games I play as a kid are much more hardcore than the games of today.
