I really don't get this spam. There won't be any japanese civ, deal with it.
What about Shri Lanka :(
Probably 12 civs only at most for AoM: Retold and not 16 (AoE: DE), 17 (RoR dlc from AoE II: DE) or 22 (AoE III: DE) civs. We need to be picky in what civs should be added to AoM: Retold if it is going to be only 12 at most assuming that each dlc only adds one new civ and basegame only has 4 civs which are Greeks, Atlanteans, Egyptians, and Norse. Also, Premium Edition which adds Chinese plus one other new civ is not basegame. Sri Lanka is too small and insignificant to be added to AoM: Retold similar to Koreans (not unique and significant enough), Vietnamese (similar problem with Koreans), Sumerians (because it conflicts with Babylonians and Persians), Carthaginians (because it conflicts with Atlanteans), and etc... Even having to choose between Incas, Mayans, and Aztecs could potentially be problematic if there is only going to be a 12 civ limit for AoM: Retold. Also, contrary to AoE II: DE I do not believe that the Indians will ever split on AoM: Retold, but they will have wide variety of deities to choose from.
Oh boi next pantheon would be Japanese.
Nope. The next pantheon will be Aztecs...
Nope Aztecs are too brutal maybe Mayans > Aztecs.
AoE II: DE is the only game from this AoE series that has Mayans. So Mayans being added instead of Incas or Aztecs is a possibility with AoM: Retold. If my theory about the civ limit for AoM: Retold being 12 turns out to be true then that means it might be impossible for all three civs to be added to this game because that would add up to 8 civs and only 4 civs left assuming that each dlc only adds one civ and that basegame will never have more than 4 civs.
