HOW ABOUT THE FUTURE OF RETOLD?
Just think, when they release Expansion 2, will they stop developing it anymore, or we will have Expansion 3/4/5 some years later??
I don't think Expansion 2 will end this marvelous game..
Life time of my most favorite game can not be short like that..
How do you think, bros?
or, they will keep the current factions and just add more gods to get 04 for each team ?
For example:
-Greek: add Major God: Persephone/Demeter?
-Norse: no more
-Egypt: they can add Horakhty/Osiris
-Atlantean: they can add Chaos
-Chinese: they can add Sunwukong :))

I think it's going to be Nyx for Atlanteans, but Chaos is still a nice choice

Depends on sales.
They cancelled the DLC for AoE3 recently, so there is a lot of talk that there won't be any more content after the 2nd new civ.
NO .... ONE MORE NORSE GOD !!!
I'm happy with what we got. Anything else is a bonus (that I will inevitably buy).

If we take aoe3 as an example, they'll totally stop developing if not enough people buy the dlcs. I mean, aoe3 has nearly twice as many players and they still rolled back a promised dlc, because they would have been sued if they stopped making the chinese dlc here, for which people already paid for.
I'm pretty sure they're just bleeding money on everything that's not aoe2 at this point, but they're contractually obliged to deliver.

They'd better be careful, though. If they replace AOE3 with some sort of AOE2 port, they'll lose a lot of money. Abandoning a game with about 3,000-4,000 players online a day sounds risky.

it be cool with DLC 3 with japan history in it honestly they shouldn't stop. they should not be bother on sales of disk, its okay to have it on steam platform I hope that they are listing to us still here.

For Atlantean fourth God, I'd go for Pontos, for several reasons.
For Egyptians, Apophis and Khnum would be good choices, and I'd use them and Hathor as minor gods, and Amun as the major one, if it was my call.
Will they bring additional major gods for existing pantheons at all, to balance out Norse having 4? We don't know. We just want to believe it.
i surprised of low number of players. Hope they'll still get enough of income to continue developement of this game... At this hour number of player is at level of EE one year ago...

Why does everyone think hourly players translates to income? Purchases leads to income, not hours played per day.
You can buy the game once, and then play every day for years, once a week for a year, or not at all, and you paid the same amount of money.
Or does everyone assume, those not playing concurrently every day refunded the game?

Exactly this, it is not a live service game with in game purchases lol. That being said, considering the direction they are going with their other games + AOE3 being no longer supported I don´t know what to think....

For purchases to happen, they'd have to make stable games in the first place. These remasters and definitive editions are riddled with connectivity issues, horrible UI, and stuttering that wasn't even in of the originals. They also haven't fixed pathfinding issues (arguably made it even worse) in all aoe/aom games, which makes it really difficult to hook anyone who isn't blinded by nostalgia. It's like they made fancy new graphics and added stuff, but don't want to streamline and polish the gameplay, since that doesn't bring in money. They just add more and more unbalanced content then nerf it to the ground by the time the next dlc comes out. It really feels like a cheap money grab.
As many pros who remain in the old versions usually say: more is not necessarily better.

And, finally, sanctions. And not one of them is not working.))))))))
Cutting off all transitions to online companies and losing all the perks of your game))))
