Sun Wukong has been celebrated for hundreds of years, and has his roots in pre-BC mythology. I think that qualifies him. Also he was (in the admitedly garbage china expansion) present in the old china expansion.
It is possibly Taoism which took place at around the same time as Buddhism (founder believed to have lived sometime between 5th and 6th century BC or BCE) and Confucianism (Confucius lived from 551-479 BC or BCE according to the WIkipedia), because it apparently its significance was not really noticed until as early as 450 BC or BCE. Meaning that Taoism which according to Wikipedia that was known to worship deities is actually not older than Buddhism and Confucianism. Confucianism in contrast based on what I looked up online about them seems to have more similarities with that of Buddhism overall than Taoism that involved the teachings of Confucius that does not seem to include the worship of other gods; although, it is worth mentioning that Taoism apparently has some similarities with Confucianism as well despite it sometimes being used to worship other gods. Buddhism on the other hand seems to overall have more similarities towards that of Atheism and Agnosticism than polytheism, monotheism, and Taoism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taoism
Sun Wukong is the most out of place as he has no meaningful relationships with any of the major gods, nevermind that he along with Guan Gong (Guan Yu) and Guanyin are all Buddhist influenced which are out of place for this game
Though if Jade Emperor is a 4th major Chinese god he can be a part of it as a god or hero
Going to need a source for the latter where his exact name is mentioned that is not Journey to the West or something that is a few centuries earlier
Stop reducing vast and rich traditions into the things you only recognise. It's like you people's brains have been preprogrammed to NOT learn anything new.
