the rest i havent touched in a bit altaneons focus on heros thoses
Atlanteans are the opposite style : they enjoy the fastest economy in the game, can set up painful raiding and harass with their turma and murmillos although their god powers aren't as impactful as other civ's (individually). That civ is usually at its peak in the Heroic age, they also benefit from strong myth units but somewhat lack access to standard siege weapons throughout the game.
China is just about to be released so we don't know much yet.
When having to deal with an enemy titan, having a lot of arcus heroes can help a lot to take them down. Heroes with great range are great anyway to focus fire on strong myth units.
Scouting is something I personally don't like much with Atlanteans though, the oracle is their scout and they have to stand still a while for their vision to increase. Works well enough early on for your immediate surroundings for resources, but later on it drops off fast.
Greeks with their Pegasus are the best at scouting out the map, beat only by Odin with his two respawning ravens which are free.
Egyptians get strong in the late game, their migdol stronghold units are solid but their barracks units are terrible, they only get somewhat descent if you pick all the gods that give them upgrades, but can't compete with other civs that do the same for their barracks units.
Having quite a few free buildings does help them, like housing and drop off points.
While they do require a different drop off point for each resource, it does mean they will never start working on the wrong resource like Greeks and Norse might if both trees and gold are near.
Egyptians are great at farming, I think they are the best at that so pretty solid though farms cost gold.
Are the ravens still better than the pegasus in terms of scouting? I haven't played in a while, but I read that in one of the patches their vision got reduced considerably.
It's why Odin is my favourite of the Norse gods. That and he has a good combination of myth units. I like having valkyries for healing and mountain giants to crush buildings but also be pretty good against units.
Antlanteans are balanced and modeled after AOE3
Egypt is defensive
Norse is offensive
China looks like its going to favor boom/economic strategies
Egypt Cripping defenders & age 3 boom. Not sure if Set villie rush is still viable, have not tried it over a decade.
Greek mid, because good at everything, great at nothing.
Atlanteans. usually eco & boom at 3. Can rush with only one of the gods and its very delicate. If it fails you are SOL. Although he can do it faster than norse by 3-4 minutes.
