I also disabled all mods since arena of the gods are multiplayer not sure if it is needed to do so though.
I agree, not sure if they actually thought about that one. Same with the beat 5 games of Arena of the Gods. These are meant to be quick daily tasks you can get done. They aren't meant to be grindy and it'll just mean most people start to ignore them when they do these events.
Going through the full list of planned challenges, this and the one where you need to beat a campaign mission on ludricous difficulty stand out as things I will not bother with, neither of them seems any fun.
I guess the one requiring you to obtain 2025 favour as the Norse in a single match is pushing it too for sure, even if the favour you spend does count, that just makes it harder to even see if you already got it.
The ones like 'win 5 skirmish games' or such are fine though since you will get those anyway in later days doing more challenges.
I'd hate to be forced to play as Set for so many games to train that many animals though, which I honestly don't tend to really use much at all. If they are going to do a 'train 2025 of this unit over any amount of games' achievement it really should be something people will train a lot of.
Like Hoplites, Hersirs, slingers, murmillo or such. All available early and can be used by all of a culture, not just one specific major god within a culture.
for the animals one.. i did 7B as set and noticed you get a bunch of animals with each age up automatically, plus the others only cost favor, no regular resources, so before you have a bunch of resources they are not bad to train anyway, so might not be AS bad as it seems.. i meant to check how many it gave me credit for on the challenge before exiting, but my dead goldfish memory, of course i forgot.. until right after the game closed.
and for that "train 2025 pets" hah.. it only counts ones you actually train, i had 13 total in one game.. at that rate it'd take well over 100 games playing only as Set?!? of course that was a short arena match, but still, bad challenge.
i might just go against 2 defensive computer players and just repeatedly train the cheapest pets and send them in to die so i can keep training more.. still boring but oh well.
