or would you rather they rush out some low quality trash?
Of course not but on the other hand they released the DLC trailer months ago and it seems to reveal they already have most of the faction done. So many people will be disappointed if there's yet another delay.
Also I see so many people complaining about launching issues, they really should fix that asap.
Understand me, I dread for this game's future.
Well Lokringe is top tier since 3 patches at least while gods that require a functional neural network like Set or Oranos are left drowning in the abyss. Could be better to say the least.
Anyway they MUST fix all these launching issues with a patch, if not it'll cost them much players and undermine AoM's prestige.
also retold has way more problems than just launch issues, there are times when the extended edition is more stable than retold
and i agree, retold's future looks dark, i fear that retold's legacy will be nothing more than dividing the fan base even farther than it already was rather than bringing new life to an incredible game
this is very likely. considering how the dlc will be the chinese pantheon they will most likely release it directly before the chinese lunar year. its the perfect timing for them so i would bet in this (when is chinese lunar year ? sometime towards the end of the month i think ??)
I just checked and it's January 29th.
cool. looking forward to it :D got the premium edition today and i'm absolutely loving the game. age of mythology was my favorite age of game back in the day when it was released and whilst i really love aoe2 de AND aoe4 (both amazing games) retold seems to once again take the top spot :D its impressive. can't wait for the chinese pantheon and the second unannounced one too :D
That said, it HAS been a while, and with 2 expansions bought and paid for via the premium option, I'd imagine they were all in progress and will drop within a year. I've never seen a big game like this sell such a thing and not follow through, so I'd expect the Chinese faction to come relatively "soon".
Many of us, myself included, purchased the premium edition out of genuine enthusiasm and trust in the game. However, this goodwill should be reciprocated with transparent communication. Basic project management practices like sharing a structured content roadmap or tentative release windows would go a long way in maintaining community engagement and trust.
It's worth noting that Immortal Pillars isn't entirely new territory - it's a reimagining of previously released content. While I understand there may be substantial work in adapting and potentially enhancing it for the new engine, providing rough timeline estimates seems reasonable. Even a general development update or progress report would help premium edition supporters feel more connected to the project's journey.
The key isn't just about getting a release date, but about fostering a more open dialogue between developers and their dedicated community. This transparency would not only generate excitement but also demonstrate respect for customers who have already shown their support through early purchases
