Does the AI build proper walls now ?

The AI can and do build walls, but walls aren't difficult to destroy. It's more of something to prevent raiding your economy, to give an warning when the enemy is attacking and just to look cool when you want to build an awesome base. It won't take long for end game units to shred through a wall though.

If you want walls to actually be useful, you need to build 2-3 layers. Then, you build 4-6 barracks behind them. As soon as your first wall is under attack, double click and select all of the barracks structures and begin spamming units. You're welcome.

Yeah multiple layers of walls with Palace/Hill Fort's behind them with multiple barracks to keep reinforcing troops fast. Sometimes I'll put a few towers between the layers of walls too.

Unless you have a titan, walls are solid and can do alot, you'll see the top players use them, they are used in tournaments, don't underestimate defences, because you rarely see anyone skilled enough to pull it off. Walls are cheap in this too.

No joke one game with my bro 2v2 against AI, we couldnt end the game because there was 1 enemy beserker walled himself off in the corner of the map, multiple layers cornered in haha, it was like something a player would do to troll haha.

but i think what no one talked clearly about in this post was how they don't upgrade their walls, they have some pretty nice designs, but its outdated and hasn't changed since I played it on disc when it first come out.

Ok, seven posts later... back to the actual topic: I've didn't saw it myself, but on the latest patch they fixed the AI to be able to upgrade walls.

AI suck in this game. AI don't build walls or defend. if you set them to full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode they will build just a small army and roll with it. they will not build an army like you would think and the first one to get their titan up wins.
