Why "Oranos"?

This bugged me ever since the original game, why the mating process is the titan named with the Greek word for sky spelled "Oranos" instead of the correct Ouranos?

You could say it is just a case of me being Greek, having studied Ancient Greek at uni and just one of the 0.0001 percent who know better than the devs, but almost all English language have the better rendering as Ouranos, with the heavily Latinized Uranus (just like the planet named after him) being most common.

Now there are many definitions with wrong and wright, especially with alphabets, but there is NO WAY "Oranos" is a correct transcription of original ουρανός. Ouranos is the common transcript which the developers back then must have encountered, and while I agree that "Ou" is not totally correct and just a convention, simple O has the pronunciation totally wrong.

For info, the correct pronunciation as written for American children would be something like oo-rah-NOS (stress on last syllable, like in French), and since the Greek alphabet, similar to English, has no single vowel which is unequivocally the "oo" sound (as in German "Hund"), Greeks use "Ou" to denote that sound, and it is my understanding that English-speaking people with some education just learn to read "ou" in Greek words as "oo". Latin has just Uranus, which would be correct if not for the ending -us instead of -os.

So, who in Tartaros thought of something as stupid as "Oranos"?

Because Anglos pronounce their "U"s in a very weird way, turning the name into a slur.
It's an English-speaking problem and this game was made by English-speaking devs and pub.

Maybe "Oranos" happened to be the most common spelling they had in their sources. Tbh I don't think it's to avoid the obvious joke because it's not removing 1 or 2 letters that will make people somehow not be able to figure it out.

Kronos cannot hold a candle to Uranus.
On the other hand, Gaia can beat Uranus all day long.
Also, the best teammate for Uranus is Freyr, because of his Asgard forts.
