we have no idea, a lot of people want aztecs and celts though so if I was going to pick one of those I'd pick celts but I'd personally love japanese to go along with china

The Age games have always had a weird fascination with the Mesoamericans. As such the Aztec are... decently likely. I would not say they're 'guaranteed' though. Personally, I think Japan, India, Celts, and possibly something with the ancient Babylonians are all possible. Though which one is up next is very difficult to tell.

I think the Indian subcontinent would be the best to explore. East Asian mythology is fairly similar so the ♥♥♥♥ would not be that great. Celtic mythology is quite similar to Norse. Aztec/Mayan is just... diversity quota territory.

One major problem with Aztecs would be the time period as it came to be within 15th century. While the other civs are presented as in around the bronze or iron age, Norse maybe around the early middle ages.

There is " the problem" already, a bronze age Greeks and Egyptians and Iron age Vikings from completely different era. And it works fine.
