4 and 23 were not the hardest for me but 18 I agree. You have to do a perfect start or you get rushed down. I had a similar problem with 14 where they spammed me just long enough and some fights were not that good for me.
I don't get it why many people struggleing with 4. I abandoned water and focused on a mystic army. I found 5 way harder but still not one of the harder missions.
Could also be that I just suck playing egypts cause all of their missions felt harder to me than greek or norse so far
I think my struggle with 4 was mostly due to rust, and also figuring out all the new balance changes.
I actually managed to keep the fishing boats alive by putting a couple watchtowers next to the starting dock. For the land units raiding the 3 gold mines off the start allowed for me to speed run the heroic age and hydra spam just killed everything else.
14 I actually found the easiest way was to have Amanra go alone and jump over the wall and land in the transport ship. From there is was easy to distract the pink navy and win the level.
Just a heads up, 29 is probably the 2nd hardest level in the campaign, at least it was for me. Let me know how it went for you!
I think the hardest one is the one in Atlantis campaign which you can't mine gold, that one require some serious multitasking, mission 18 is the 2nd hardest
I think this is a little harsh. It is definitely too hard, ill agree with you on that, but it is definitely doable. To be honest, I found the challenge to be very fun and it had to make me think differently unlike all of the other levels in the campaign. I think it needs a little tuning, but I think if you approach the level with a positive mindset you will have a lot better of a time with it.
I was looking for some answers like this.
I'm on normal difficulty and I get rushed at start like if I was on "5 stars" difficulty (if you know what I mean xD)
They were arriving from all sides at same time. Something must be wrong there ?
I hold strong and when I rebuilt the village, they sent in the elephants and scorpions *facepalm*
https://imgur.com/a/sqmTOLS just wall those side (careful with the walling being too close to water/too far they might attack it) If you did it correct they only attack from the east/right side
Got it, i'll try it now, and keep you updated, thanks :)
Walled off all approaches but one. Rushed TIV Osiris for the Pharaoh transformation which is complete busted. Paired them with elephants/catas.
Profit.
The big area also allows you to get around 100g from market caravans and they are safe.
Now, head to Kamos base (19) :D
