How is the campaign ?

How is the story ? It it the same as the old game (I already have)
Does it have any unwanted changed ?
Aside from the voice acting, camera, maps, etc.
How are the characters and the plot ? Are they the same ?
Or have they been re-imagined for a "modern audience" ?

I am only interested in the campaign. If its the same, I will welcome a HD update to the game and buy it.

Almost finished with campaign 1 playing casually, no plot changes from what I can tell.

its really good. i played the original and played it up until the release of retold. same campaign. not exact same voice actors but arkantos voice is pretty good, sounds like original. same music although rerecorded. if you like the campaign in original youll like this. theres fall of trident, alantis campaign, golden gift. and a misison line called mythical battles although only one mission so far, and i think it was in the original? not sure tho. but you only play campaign no online or skirmish so idk if its worth it for full premium edition if youre only gonna be playing campaign

It sounds like the original because it is the original voice actor. Daniel Riordan reprised his role.

The Campaign is great, even better with the new improvements granted to some myth units in this version. Especially now that god powers are reusable.

I think he's referring to The Golden Gift, which is positioned between the two big campaigns.
That campaign isn't new, however. It was made available for free for the original version, and was also part of the Extended Edition.

Because the dwarfs talk about Loki tricking them in the past, aka this campaign.
