Mission 14. "Isis, Hear My Plea" Titan

So I have not truly played AoM in a long time, but I am no stranger to RTS since then. Is it just me or is Titan, on some missions like this one, significantly harder than the OG AoM? This mission for instance if I build too much Econ, I die. If I build too much force at the start, I die. If I balance between the two, guess what? I die. The closest I got was building a massive wall across the entire map and Forts + Towers on it, but unfortunately my army suffered a bit. Guess what? Still died.

They seem to be sending entire armies every... 2 minutes? They got rid of 2 of the settlements you had on OG version making it a struggle making Villagers. You only get 25 gold per camel because of this short distance. Gold mines are extremely limited as well, you run out of the 2 next to your settlement in like 4 minutes, which is bad since Egypt is very Gold heavy. I always have an insane amount of Food I legit just can't spend since no gold (yes, I used the market to trade food for gold).

The elephants are the biggest problem. I can't for the life of me find a unit to counter them with the forced setup you have. Like you don't have any of these: Katapeltes, Cyclops, Mummy, Medusa, Azure Dragons and Fire Giants. Which, conveniently, are the ones also mentioned on the wiki, but doesn't help for this mission.

I make a BUNCH of priests which help with survival. About 1/3 are set to always heal. The other 2/3 I manually target myth units. Again, biggest problem is the Elephants.

I checked old vids to make sure I was doing everything right initially, and I was before I started doing weird starts to try and survive.

What methods did you use to pass this mission? I am honestly at a loss at this point.

I was in the same boat last night, i made my way through it spamming villagers and focusing elephants for a meat wall with crocs and chariots behind, using the hero to focus down the enemy myth units for every engagement. Also I recommend using the hero to capture the nearby temples (which gives you extra army) and securing the southern area for the extra gold as quickly as possible. From there its just a cycle of microing each wave and keeping as much as you can alive until you are pop capped.

Yea its way over tuned. Although it only gets harder after 14. Mission 18 took me hours to finally beat. I'm a RTS vet, and this is the harder RTS I've played, and I've played most of them.

Kk I was focused on left since old strat was put market there and make camel then go brrr.

Longer distance for sure placing the market on the right.

Okay so I am not tripping. I don't think the devs played the difficulty then haha.

Yeah I am switching between the 3 campaigns and even struggling on Mission 2 for Atlantis... which is sad, because I remember this being one of the easier ones. Speaking of Valor is now single target instead of Area. Basically useless.

just forget all of those base building and straight up get in the boat lmao. There will be wall but amanra can jump through it, after that go to the dock and make 1 leviathan and lots of arrow ship put amanra in leviathan and try to clear the walls of enemy blocking the entrance by kiting em, after that use your ancestor god power to diver the enemy atention and swim the leviathan through and drop amanra to finish the mission

You mean skip destroying the Migdol Fortress? Currently torturing with this mission too... I keep running out of gold and get attacked from 2-3 sides too often.

I did Isis hear my plea by capturing all altars, all monuments, spamming myth units + some siege units and destroying the entire enemy base. Completely ignored the boat.

That's what he meant yes but I want to share my own tips

secure gold locations with walls and keep spamming myth units with every captured altar + monuments. There's a pretty easy-to-find relic that improves myth units (forgot the exact buff). Then I just destroyed the entire enemy base, completely ignoring the boat objective. Worked for me on titan difficulty before campaign was nerfed,

MAJOR TIP
campaign AI doesn't rebuild military buildings (in Atlantean campaign they do rebuild but it's in pre-set locations). If you take them out, you reduce the rate at which it spawns units.

You have the cheesy way with Amanra jumping past the walls and the legit way.

- Rush the two temples near by with Amanra to get free mythic units to defend yourself
- Develop and defend at first. Spam farms, send villagers on the north of the small village near you for the gold or build market on the top right for the gold
- Spam crocs and priests to defend yourself. Enemy usually only attacks from one direction, if he doesn't wall up until he has only one way in
- Once you are strong enough to defend, attack and level that Migdol fort
- When done the rest is easy. Just build a navy and reach the prison. You can use your Ancestors power to summon ghost ships

I succeeded by spamming crocs. You have unlimited favors so build a market and spam caravans. When the enemy attacks, target the priests first.
AI won't rebuild and crocs have enough range to destroy building without being too worried by arrows.

Spam ancestor to defend yourself if needed.

I stumbled upon a sub-4 minute Titan run on YouTube yesterday. Literally hop the walls and get her to the docks and then to the Island and it's job done. Didn't even have to destroy the stronghold.

There's me taking an hour on this

yes some missions can be cheesed like this. They disabled the cheese strat for the followup mission though which is sad.

You can cheese but I prefer winning the legit way for a better challenge. However yeah, some mission can be finish in like 3mins if you cheese.
