The AI is terrible on Naval maps

Even on Legendary AI settings, the AI just doesent understand water in Vinland Saga or Islands map. Could you developer folks take a look at it? Dont get me wrong I love this game, I just wish the AI understood how water functioned finally.

The devs know that the AI is bugged on naval map. Its a known issue that is being tracked. But Yeah it sucks. I was looking forward to some migration map action with AI

This is nothing new, it's the same in AOE III, only in II the AI works better on water maps.

ok just recently tested on Islands, they work alright on islands but definetly at a lower IQ than land maps.
Its more the idea of migration it doesent understand especially on Vinlandsaga

Only AoE IV and original AI in AoE II works better

water maps are too easy to win,the only way to play them is on multyplayer where there is a real challenmge

This is so sad. Vinlandsaga was my favorite map to play as a kid. It was so fun to go and colonize the mainland from your tiny island and slowly take over everyone's little bases they set up there as they tried to do the same. I really hope they fix this and don't just leave it broken or that will be a pretty significant blow to my enjoyment.
