HOW TO FIX YOUR GAME NOT OPPENING

1 - you need to acess your event visualizer on windows, just after trying to open the game
2 - if you get an event saying that you have a error in c:\windows\system32\msvcp140.dll
you need to repair the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
3 - Go to this page -> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-microsoft-visual-c-redistributable-version
4 - download the x64 version, execute it and click on REPAIR
5 - restart your PC

this fix is mostly focused if you have the c:\windows\system32\msvcp140.dll error in your event visualizer, most people having this problem bought the premium version. If you updated from the base version to premium i dont know if this is going to help

Tried this but is not working for me, I don't have the dll error, but tried running the game as administrator and it worked!
To run the game as admin you have to the folder where the game is installed and right click on AoMRT_s.exe, hit properties, compatibility and then select run as adminstrator.

I bought the Premium Edition directly on Steam and the Game didnt start, i repaired and restarted my PC like you said, its working now, thx a lot! :)

In case anyone is still trying to get theirs to work:

I was in the situation, where I had followed all the steps above, but AoMRT still did not start.

I then changed the Install Location to C: and then it worked, so I assume it can't be installed on different drive - at least in my case.

I have same problem. It's installed in C: drive . The game says "launching", and nothing happens. HELP :(
