Question about atlanteans hero mechanic
So as you know, you can convert your regular dudes to hero status. However, i've found myself to be very weak vs mythic units when playing vs my friend.

So my question is: When you convert a regular infantry unit to hero status, they become effective vs mythic units I assume, but do they lose their base strength? So for example your infantry that's good vs regular infantry, does the hero unit stay effective vs regular infantry or does that change?

They become effective vs mythic units on top of gaining minor increases in health and movement speed. But the increase is small. Nothing else changes.

Some units are underperforming right now in that their bonuses vs. mythic units are not big enough, especially considering how they cost Favor earlier on in the game to convert.

Some units like Murmillos get 4.5x their attack vs mythic. Some units get 6x bonus like Arcus. Early game, you have no choice but to convert low tier units, but later on, I would recommend upgrading ranged units to heroes, and use melee units as meat shields, more or less.

The Arcus is pretty great to use as a hero for their range, sniping the myth units in between the human soldiers, taking down the flyers and also pretty great at attacking a titan when it might be hard to reach due to buildings or other stuff.
And of course they can be handy against water myth units too.

Arcus and Turma Heroes are AMAZING! Really good at nuking Myth Units down.

Cheiroballista Heroes are straight up broken against armies with a lot of Myth Units.

So my question is mostly; For example Cheiroballista is good vs human infantry. Does it lose that advantage?
