Try to use Apollo's god power to connect your bases.
Looked back at one of my vidyas and I basically turtle up both sides with starting units, buying few units,to rush to the Heroic/3rd age for Appllo.
Drop the underworld as quick access between both sides and move all my units to/heroes to whichever side is about to be attacked.
If I remember they stagger their attacks but generally prefer hitting Ajaxs side more frequently.
Get the temple healing upgrade and hit the temple on the right, using underworld, to top off any injured units.
Put a fortress down closer to the 2 gold on Ajaxs side.
Hit tier 4 and pump a mix of catapults, colossi and whatever flavor mix of troops and myth units I want.
Once large enough I just push up the left side all the way up.
Best advice I can give for most missions is to weather the storm and play solely towards the objectives.
Not very helpful and of course their are a myriad of ways to tackle the missions but hopefully I provided some help.
Yeah I beat it. Basically had to combine both armies to rush one side and pray the other side didn't attack during that time. Not gonna lie, moderate is getting sweaty so I turned it down to standard. Something about the AI blatantly cheating and pumping out army after army with no economy. Also catapult after catapult then retreating behind their walls so my cav can't get them then rushing when my cav retreats with perfect reflexes. Maximum game logic. I love RTS games when the AI is given equal footing as you and doesn't pump out unlimited armies with 0 economy.
I then branched out slightly on the left side out of the gate taking an army larger than that they send and it acted as a good deterrent plus I could access the gold mine out of the gate. I didn't proceed to far because the entry to main base was a chokepoint plus there is also an enemy building elevated which can be dealt with by the right sided army. Destroy that and then you can plant a siege unit on the top which covers the left side and totally deters them sending much of a force and keeps your left army safe.
The right side is tougher but more open and hydras are ideal. Use siege to get any buildings and then slowly progress push up each time. watch out for towers and also keep your siege moving up. If you have a large enough army then it should be good enough to muscle through and you don't need to worry about the left side too much. Too little army and pushing up too fast will result in total wipeout so taking time and building up is the way to go.
