not playable online currently...
unless you want SP... then go for it....
This happens with every game that's popular. Servers crash and burn in the launch days. Same for MMO games and most other titles - the online system struggles until it settles down.
The only games that get past it are those with prolonged "open access/early access" periods. And even they can still come unstuck and have a choppy launch week if the marketing really works well.
BIG sudden influxes of players strain servers- its a universal element most games suffer from (indeed if a game isn't suffering from it in the launch week it might be a sign its not actually doing all that well)
bought it on steam with the discount for 42,99€.
Then refunded it since the game doesnt start.
Rebought it on a key site for around 35€.
It still doesnt start :/
Ive had not one crash in the 54 hrs ive played.
while it wasnt necessarily a bad computer;
the problem was the old/outdated graphics card.
(the driver for it was no longer updated)
I bought a new computer quite recently,
(earlier this year, before retold was released)
and i have no problems whatsoever running this game, or any games in general.
And this isnt even a very good computer. (its slightly above average)
In fact, the processor of my previous computer should even be better than this one.
But my new computer runs a LOT smoother now,
than any other computer i ever had, even outside of video games.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Refunding and buying the game again, multiple times, is quite silly, (imho)
as it will never fix any problems... You could just reinstall the game instead...
And/or "verify game file integrity" in steam... and/or look for other solutions...
If there is an error message, look up that message on the official forums.
If all that doesnt work,
this indicates that the problem is most likely your computer:
older hardware and/or outdated software. I know this isnt always easy/possible,
(i had to save up money for my new computer, for over a year, while its a cheaper model)
but getting a new computer really could be the only solution to your problems...
PS: just throwing this out there as a joke....
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"..
(to be fair, the game not working could be the cause of the insanity, i guess.. :P )
If you have no idea what they are talking about, then don't contribute in.
The refund thing was because of a bug at launch where people who had bought the base game and then decided to buy the upgrade to prem edition didn't get access to the game early.
the DEVELOPERS acknowledged this issue, gave that exact advice and removed the upgrade from the store.
So yeah:
"Refunding and buying the game again, multiple times, is quite silly, (imho)"
The only person being silly here is you, not op.
this thread is 18 days old and was necro revived by someone, ignore it.
