Alternatively, you can just look to dominate the map completely. I'm a shameless croc enjoyer myself, so this was my strat: Handle mummy tombs as usual, age up into crocs, build a market at the right edge of the map and start using caravans for gold income. Take your main army and extra crocs/priests, go attack and hold the eastern "base". Meanwhile, a siege tower or two hop into a roc and land at the back of the western temple after sneaking around the edge of the map. Kill both temples, kill eastern Barracks - the AI will keep trying to reinforce the eastern base constantly, and the range of the crocs and priest healing can basically waste the spawns of all of those units while you build up and look to match attack waves. Kite back to the 'cliff' behind you and body-block at the chokepoint with Chiron/Elephants if a massive attack wave goes right - a bit of micro to pull back damaged units is nice here, crocs can hit a certain critical mass so its worthwhile being efficient. Otherwise, pull back some crocs to defend with your Migdols and look to either slow-push with your crocs into the right-Migdol (Elephant spawns) or the centre Town Centre (priests).
You can also just hold position with crocs and fill a roc with more siege towers to suicide again. Four siege towers suiciding into a Migdol should comfortably kill it, and massively slow the spawn of elephants into the attack waves. The enemy never rebuilds production, so in the same way that killing every temple stops scarabs/anubis/scorpion production, killing all three Migdols on the map will remove all elephants. Killing the one siege works will remove all siege towers from the attack wave. Killing both TCs will eliminate priests. This is a potential argument for going Tornado in the final age, as destroying an extra building for free could just kill their attack waves entirely even if Son of Osiris is GOATed.
Leave one choke point with walls. I built a stronghold behind the wall and put Chiron in the opening to take the hit. Once the stronghold is built start making elephants.
As for the gods I chose croc and roc and osiris. Crocs are great at shooting behind walls to protect Chiron. Roc is for transporting catapults when the enemy starts or have just finished attacking so that I would have some room and time to destroy their facilities. Osiris for the god power and Mummies are actually great because they can create meat shields to absorb damage.
Sometime they would still hit other walls, which I would lure them to my stronghold and fight them there, and rebuild the walls afterwards.
Make caravans to ensure you have enough gold.
While you're turtling, use Roc to backdoor red base and focus on military production building to reduce wave strenght. IA does not rebuild.
At the start go destroy both temples on your side of the map and then build walls at the 3 paths crossing for the enemy and leave the right side open and build 4 forts on the right side and mass spam spearman for elephant and siege machines, also spam priests. Build up your economy and rush to son of Osiris.
It's game over after this when you get a large enough force
I play moderate. Just having difficulty strategizing.
Get the ability to have a pharoh double spawn elephants. let them attack, then counter attack. It takes time.. chip away at them
