Game WILL NOT launch

Title. I have also seen many other people having this issue. YES I RESTARTED STEAM. YES I RESTARTED MY COMPUTER. I also updated Windows and my drivers. I reinstalled the game 3 times. It is installed on the C: drive.

I did both of these so please don't suggest:
Install Visual C++ Redistributables & Restart (x64 and x86 versions)
Repair Visual C++ Redistributables & Restart (x64 and x86 versions)

MSI Afterburner/Riva Tuner - I DO NOT have these installed on my computer or ANY overclocking software.

Firewalls are not blocking the game, it is on the firewall exceptions list (private and public). Can't see any errors in Event Viewer when launching the game. I've tried running as admin, and messing with other compatibility settings on both Steam and the game .exe itself.

I have turned off all gaming overlays and ended just about every process in task manager that isn't required to run the OS.

MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 2070 Super
16 gb ram

Was excited to play this game. I have never had this problem on any modern game before.

I already have over 30 minutes of play time just from pressing the play button on steam and it ending the process after about a minute each time. If I can't fix this in the next few days, it looks like I'll just have to refund it.

I just played this yesterday and now it won't launch.

If you upgraded from basic version to premium then try this:

C:\Users\*your username*\Games\Age of Mythology Retold
delete Age of Mythology Retold from there and then try to launch game again.

I mean i would try this anyway and see if it works. That folder will be created again when you start the game, so dont worry.

I bought the premium version from the start... I have no Age of Mythology Retold folder in that directory.

The most insulting part is I couldn't even get the 15% discount for already owning Extended Edition since apparently you had to preorder to even get that.

How do you check the firewalls?

If you have MSI Afterburner on for whatever reason, just know this will make it crash. Maybe it's this for at least some of you

look at your W10 version, for W11 i had to be on 23H2 version......
