Group Icons on top left disappeared

I can't get the group icons on the top left to show up in any game mode.

Is this a known bug? any solutions? thanks

A lot of people have that bug (including me) so far I haven't heard of any solutions. The hotkeys for them still work though so its still usable, but having to memorize which units are assigned to which number is frustrating

It's strange how some people have it, and others don't... I'm also one of the afflicted. It also removed the villager AI thing (gold/food/wood) interface above (choose what to split the ai to do).

This bug just occurred for me starting today. The army grouping icons were there the first day I played, and now they are not.

Glad to know it isn't just me. Hope they fix soon.

I had the same problem and found out how to fix it by accident:
There is a magnifying glass icon down in the bottom right of the screen, click that to make the minimap as small as it will go.
On my screen the villager priority circle turns on and off depending on the size of the minimap.
For me once I restarted the game, the control groups had returned.

So, you can't have a big mini map if you want to see control groups \ villager priority.

Please fix devs.

It also happens in Campaign, I clicked resign and it came back...I don't know if that's a fix
