Egyptians too weak ?

Hello all ! Been playing quite a lot with the egyptians since the release, and I think that this is really hard to win multiplayer games with them, it feels like they are always behind at every step. Futhermore, I saw a very very little amount of players chosing egyptian gods (most are going for Atlantis or Greece).

Do you guys share these impressions ?

How fast are you aging up? Personally I'm doing okay with Ra because I boom quickly. You should be focusing on food and gold, with just enough wood to make slingers to survive classical. You need to scout because egyptians are more reactive in the early game. Just focus on building the strongest economy possible while building the right counter units to make it to heroic.

I think Ra is pretty weak.

But if you're talking about Set, no. Set is op, only Odin seems stronger (maybe Hades). Isis also seems pretty good, I think she's at least in the top half.

Egyptians are one of the strongest civs if you play them right. People don't usually pick them because they don't know how to play them effectively.

In my opinion, they are the best faction to play in the game, with very unique units, techs and buildings.

They are definitely quite rare but that's also because people want to play matches with gods that are easy to play with a lot of low effort reward (like Loki or Hades).

They are fairly weak.
Set is strong because of animals, Isis is okayish because of timing attacks.
Ra shows how weak Egyptians are if you have neither.

They're a late game civ. If you're fighting Norse and they rush, you're going to lose. If Norse let you get to late game however... you should win.

egiptians allways has been the best civ an easier at the last aom the 80% of the top 30 were agyptians

but you need to fast heoric and get camels/elephans siege and ridding archers.
