What got me through was going with Freyr and mass hersir/godi. Gaia's lashing roots is pretty much a must (area attack with heroes) and Rushing tides (hero movement speed) is really nice too. Think there is a bug currently where worshipping Ullr takes the regular time and food cost but even then its worth it for the free hill forts. Turtle up, spam the free hill fort and while you don't want the titan gate to die, it has so much hit points you might as well use it as part of your early game wall somewhere. Once titan is out use it and your army to cripple or kill off the opponents one at a time, circling back to help fend off attacks from the others as they come.
I can imagine the strategy works fine on other 1v3 maps just that you're not as reliant on waiting for the titan before moving out.
I just beat my first 1 vs 3, was fairly challenging but we have similar strats.
I did Gaia massing hereos for the first page more or less.
I assume you're using the ability that heroes and legends AOE on attack? Not sure if it's the same for everyone, but if it is, you got this to the Heroic (Blue) tier which is 3 range AOE.
However; actually best tip I can give you? Drop Gaia. Play Oranos.
His first Age Up lets you get faster promotions for hero units, actually clutch when you see an army approaching you can rapidly promote and go AOE them down.
Secondly, it's actually very useful to get free hero units early on your initial bodyguards. Will help with the first few early rushes without compromising economy.
Speaking of economy, he's better than Gaia too I find due to promoted villagers gathering faster. Since this is a god tech too, on maps where this is doubled your economy is insane.
Next age up is even better; hereos regenerate! Pretty huge for hero armies. And the oracles being automatic heroes is a nice touch for scouting / vision.
Lastly; general tips. I only just learnt that when you hero up human units; they're no longer human but heroes. So human Regen / Attack doesn't work. Which is what I was doing!
So I beat the 1 vs 3 with basically 2 worthless traits. I'm probably going to go with cheaper and more efficient villagers so I overwhelm with Eco / Tech advantage.
I did try originally different kinds of rush, but the way the scenario is made with the instant age 2 and the ai having more resources than you, even if you do lots of damage to an ai, the other 2 will pummell you at your base when you aren't there. I don't know how people make gaia work in this situation in hardest difficulty, atlantean heros are too expensive to mass in time stop the enemy onslaught.
Early you got to def a lot, it's quite challenging in last difficulty indeed
Well I'm only playing on hard mode, not insane, but i have found a fun and relatively easy way to do it, especially on the world twist which respawns slain units.
-pick kronos (You pick Kronos over Oranos because the only resource trouble you'll prolly have is favor generation and Kronos can do the age 3 goddess Rheia, who gives horns of consecration)
-pick the 2 legend buffs: Isis Divine Retinue (Myth units cost less favor) and Hel's last promise (myth units do AOE damage on death). The 3rd perk can be anything but I prefer Ptah's secret tools (increased rate of resources by gatherers/workers)
-age up to prometheus
-Just spam Prometheans and win. Each promethean explodes, including the 2 mini prometheans. As your economy grows, you should be able to add more temples and just overwhelm them with sheer numbers.
On hard or extreme? just won my first 3v1 on extreme with loki mass hersir + fimbulwinter spam. i think what made me win in the end was just the AI choosing plenty vault instead of earthquake god power. Had to kill 5 titans
